Ernie qualified as a solicitor in 1976 and has been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland, Northern Ireland and England and Wales. Ernie graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 1972 with an Honours Degree in History and Politics and he joined MTB, which is the sister firm of F V. Harty & Co, in 1973. He is also a partner in F V Harty & Co.
